Brazil's President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva says Russian President Vladimir Putin will be welcomed at next year's G20 meeting in Rio de Janeiro. President Lula says the Russian leader will not face being arrested if he decides to make an appearance at next year's summit. The International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against Vladimir Putin in March, accusing him of war crimes of illegally deporting Ukrainian children. As a signatory of the International Criminal Court's Rome statute, Brazil would be required to aid in President Putin's arrest. Mr Lula who has so far refused to take a clear side in the Ukraine war, has confirmed he would not make any arrest.
