Comet C/2025 R2 SWAN, a rare visitor from the outer solar system with an orbital period exceeding 20,000 years, has been observed and photographed over Oman by the Oman Society of Astronomy and Space (OSAS). First discovered in September 2025 via the SWAN instrument on SOHO, the comet peaked in brightness in October and will remain visible into November with binoculars or a small telescope.
