Historian Dr Marco Duranti delves into Russia’s current political situation following the Wagner mercenary group’s uprising. Mr Duranti says Russian President Vladimir Putin is between a “rock and a hard place”, choosing between reconciling with mercenaries or escalating the situation by proceeding with vengeance. “Putin is going to be reflecting heavily on the history of Russia in order to find a way out of this situation.” he said.
