[RSS] King Charles ‘surprised’ by workload as monarch ‘behind the scenes’

King Charles has been “surprised” by the amount of work that goes into being the monarch behind the scenes, says The Daily Mirror’s Royal Editor Russell Myers. “That transitional year has obviously come to an end now,” Mr Myers told Sky News host Caroline Di Russo. “Charles has taken his time I think to get to grips with the role. “He has taken time to get to the four corners of the UK, meeting with religious and community groups and I think that that tells you quite a lot about his character. “Overall, I think it’s been a pretty solid year for the King and a chance to sort of kick on now and see what we expect from him to cement his legacy, certainly over the next two to five years.”
